The beginning of the mini and on.

Ok you entered my site and you are now readind this, so this tells me that you are a mini enthuast.
Well were should io start, there is over 40 years of history and there is too much for it to put on a little website, well i try my best.
Ok, the mini was a great dream of a man called Alex Issigonis, it was his dream to think of a car that was at least 3/4 of a meter smaller than any other car of that era, but still carry 4 adults and a small amount of luggage which was positioned in the boot.
This car, the mini would start its life as a, A-Series engine in 848cc, which was a moderate engine in those days, but thankfully as times went on the engine power went up, which is good.
The mini came all shapes, sizes and power, the most famous of them all is the john cooper mini which only 25, yes 25 made worldwide to remember him as he worked on minis and opened many garages for minis for 25 years. John cooper is a celeb in the mini world.

40 years, hey quite a achivement isn't sadly it has to end sometime and it had endwhen i was getting into minis (collecting stuff), On the year 2000 Rover had been brought out by BMW.
But magically the spirit of the mini was not going to stop there when BMW kind of caught the mini bug, just like me and you (i mean you because you wouldn't be reading this).So BMW brought out a new uprated mini with the lastest style but a little larger than the orignal.
And it dosent stop there i have the latest pictures of BMW minis that are most probably in production i think.

Keeping your mini cool

Did you know that in 30 degree heat, the air in your car reaches approximately 80 degrees and the steering wheel can reach 70 degrees? So what can you do about it? First, you can tint your car windows. Clear glass magnifies the sun and intensifies the heat. If that's too expensive, buy manual sunshades. They come in cheap cardboard or reflective material. You can also buy shades for the back side windows where your kids are. To avoid hot steering wheels, put a towel over the wheel to absorb sun while your car sits.

Washing and axing tips for your mini

Most cars now come with a clearcoat finish, which tricks owners into thinking they don't need wax. Actually, you should wax your car 3-4 times a year. Most manufacturers also recommend washing your car once a week. Remember to start washing your car only when the car's surface is cool and only after rinsing the entire car. Rub gently, one section at a time, and use specific car wash products--never household cleaners. After rinsing your car well, dry it with a soft, clean cloth.
